Story and ending in mass effect 1 still felt grounded. Saren is a serious threat, but for someone like Shepard to take him down is not impossible task. Story in 1 is ridiculous space opera like in every mass effect game, but it doesn't go over the top. Considering how insane threat reapers are, it would be the most logical ending. Where all hope is lost and everyone dies. If mass effect 3 story was even little bit grounded/realistic, wouldn't then ending in mass effect 3 be similar to Dead Space 3 DLC ending: Then story in mass effect 3 goes even more crazier and ending is just flat out bad. Wouldn't the ending be more grounded if they removed the option where you can save all your team members? Like you have to seriously think who do you want to save. How the hell can your whole team survive thru omega relay and collectors base in one piece. Talking about protheans, this was quite chilling to hear:Įven mass effect 2 ending is kinda obnoxiously ridiculous. Protheans were way more technologically advanced than humans, for example they mass build relays, yet even they couldn't beat reapers. When you really think about it, reapers have been destroying ALL civilizations and organic life for billions of years, yet somehow this one fellow named shepard can destroy reapers after all these billions of years where previous civilizations failed. Might be unpopular opinion, but imo endings in Mass effect 2 and 3 are too absurd that alone makes those endings shit.
